I dived into fashion photography while studying visual communications at the University of Applied Science in Bielefeld and the RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
At that time I was highly influenced by the aesthetics of the New American Color Photography movement and new topography pioneers like Stephen Shore or Henry Wessel.
My deep appreciation for the artistry of urban landscape photography highly impacts my body of work and I integrate the raw energy and vibrant colors of the streets into my fashion work.
I love to walk around with my models trying to blend the authenticity and spontaneity of the streets with the elegance of the fashion world. In addition to that I started to bridge the gap between the street reality and the controlled environment of a studio or indoor location.
Whether I’m indoor or outdoor, I always try to capture candid micro movements and genuine emotions that feel authentic within the situations and scenes I create.
